Mole Removal
What Are Moles?
Moles and skin tags are extra deposits of skin that can occur anywhere on the body as we age. Moles most commonly appear on the face and skin tags commonly appear on the neck. Another commonly occurring lesion are seborrheic keratosis, a thickening of the skin which occurs on the back, sides and abdomen, especially near the bra line.
Moles can sometimes be present for years and grow very slowly, or sometimes they can grow over night. They are usually round, colorless and smooth. Skin tags are extra skin that is deposited by the body.
How Are Moles Removed?
While there are a several options for mole removal, at Laser Esthetica we believe that the best option is the Ellman radiofrequency machine to ablate the unwanted lesions. After cleaning the skin, the area is anesthetized with a local anesthetic. Once the skin is numb, the lesions are removed layer by layer using the radio frequency energy.
